So my medical journey first started when I got what we think was either the flu or mono, I got sick and I just never got better. I rapidly lost weight and was in severe pain every day. For the longest time doctors said there was nothing they could do for me. Eventually they admitted me to the hospital and ran some tests which revealed nutcracker syndrome, since then I’ve also received many more diagnsosis. I also had to get feeding tubes and a PICC line. However despite everything doctors have continued to gaslight, abuse and neglect me to an unacceptable point. I hope one day this changes. One thing that I’ve found really helps get me through my day is simply talking to others going through similar things, no one else will completely understand so finding other chronic illness friends definitely helps!
