OUR IMPACT

Our CM Ambassadors are bringing patient advocacy into communities across five continents. They bring Chronically Me’s work into their own schools and communities, expanding the reach of our campaigns while making chronic illness advocacy relevant to the places they know best.

Through storytelling, we’re reshaping how chronic illness is understood. With over 50 patient-submitted stories published, Chronically Me amplifies experiences too often absent from conversations about health and care. Our Real Stories series documents what it actually means to live with chronic illness, bringing patient narratives into conversation with the clinical definitions that too often speak for them.

Our Circle represents the people and organizations working alongside Chronically Me to advance patient-centered change. Through these partnerships, lived experience reaches the spaces where decisions are made, helping shape healthcare around the people it is meant to serve.

The Chargies are our CM community, built around the shared experience of living with chronic illness. Reaching more than 144,000 people across our platforms, the community creates space for patients to connect with one another while bringing the everyday reality of chronic illness into a larger public conversation.

Chronically Me brings patient experience into policy advocacy. We support efforts including prior authorization reform and stronger disability protections in schools, while giving patients concrete ways to act on the issues affecting their care. Through campaign toolkits and story collection, patients can move their experiences beyond conversation and use them to inform policy.

We raised ~$100,000 alongside the Mumbai Marathon to support patients living with chronic conditions. This initiative helps expand access to long-term care resources, bridging the gap between awareness and tangible impact. By uniting our global community behind a shared cause, we’re running toward a world where care is within everyone’s reach.

The Chronically Me Fellowship is our nationally selective leadership program for young changemakers building their own social impact initiatives. Fellows spend each cohort developing an idea into a sustainable project grounded in a real community need, with direct guidance from experienced advocates and leaders along the way. The Chronically Me Internship Program gives high school and college students hands-on experience contributing to the work behind a global patient advocacy organization. Interns take ownership of active projects across Chronically Me, working directly with our team to strengthen campaigns and develop resources for the chronic illness community while building practical experience in the organizational space.
